Job summary

Billigence Pty Ltd is seeking a software engineer to design, develop and maintain web applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot and ReactJS with a strong emphasis on RESTful APIs. The role requires deploying secure, scalable solutions on AWS and orchestrating containers with Kubernetes.

• This will be an initial 6 month contract + strong potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS.
• Implement and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices
• Ensure secure and scalable deployment of applications using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway) and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and cross-functional collaboration
• Proactively identify opportunities for process and product improvement.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proficient in Java with hands‑on experience in full‑stack development.
• Strong experience with ReactJS for front‑end development, building conversational UIs and chat interfaces. React Native experience is a plus.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
