Job summary

HyperLight Corporation is seeking a hands-on Firmware Engineer in Singapore to develop firmware for cutting-edge optical transceiver designs leveraging TFLN technology. You will work collaboratively with hardware and optical teams to ensure high-performance systems transition from prototypes to production-ready

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering combined with extensive firmware development experience. The role demands a solid understanding of optical communication systems.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years of relevant firmware/optical transceiver experience.
• Strong experience in embedded firmware development (C/C++ and others).
• Hands-on experience with CMIS, I2C/I3C protocols.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware for optical transceiver reference designs built around TFLN modulators.
• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for optical transceivers.
• Implement and optimize CMIS-compliant firmware stacks.

Embedded systems & low-level programming

High-speed interface protocols (I2C/I3C, CMIS)

Optical transceiver systems (QSFP/OSFP)

DSP integration

Debugging & system bring-up

Education
