Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer in Singapore to design and implement firmware spanning pre-silicon and post-silicon for AMD SoCs. You will work with firmware, developers and architects to deliver robust firmware that powers AI and next-gen processors.

The role requires a strong background in firmware development, embedded systems, and excellent communication. You will influence product quality through hands-on engineering and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in firmware development within semiconductor industry preferred.
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with an obsession for firmware. As part of the role, this engineer will work closely with other firmware engineers, developers and architects across various IPs in designing and implementing firmware that spans pre-silicon and post-silicon for all AMD SoCs.

The Person

You are passionate about firmware development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, verify and/or validate firmware, software and/or hardware
• Participant in day-to-day firmware development work
• Provide consultation to internal and external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirements

Preferred Experience

• Prior years of experience and/or education within the semiconductor industry
• Experience producing quality firmware

Academic Credentials

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
