What the Role Is
Part Time Senior Fire Safety Manager
- Review and update Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in alignment to the Fire Safety Act.
- Provide advice on fire safety matters pertaining to the Fire Safety Act.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspection and highlight areas of concern for improvement.
- Conduct fire safety related training when required.
- The FSM must assist the owner or occupier in carrying out a fire risk assessment of the premises and review whenever the FSM becomes aware of any change in work processes or work activities at the premises which is likely to increase the fire risk.
- Provide advice on fire safety matters pertaining to the Fire Safety Act.
- Update client on any new fire safety regulation, if applicable.
- Recommend relevant fire safety training at SCDF-accredited training centre for staff.
- Prepare annual fire safety report.
- Attend to annual fire certification by FSSD.
- If applicable, FSM must perform checks to ensure that any fire safety works using alternative solutions meet the requirements set out in the operations and maintenance manual.
- Ensure at all times that the occupant load of any part of any building does not exceed the capacity prescribed under the Fire Code.
- Where an approval of temporary change of use is issued, ensure that the owner or occupier complies with any fire‑safety related condition to the approval.
- Attend to other agencies e.g. Insurance etc if required on fire safety matters.
- Develop/review the In‑Place Protection (IPP) procedures and facilitate to conduct IPP drill for clients as per SCDF requirements.
- Attend to SCDF annual briefing.
- To conduct mandatory table top exercises and fire drills as required by SCDF per year.
- To assist in forming CERT team and provide guidance.
- Any other duties required by SCDF within scope of FSM.
- The FSM assigned will be contactable through mobile 24 hours a day in emergencies.
- Visits shall be conducted within the normal working hours of Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays.
- Register the Senior FSM with the SCDF for all MWG premises, in accordance with SCDF requirements.

- 1 visit a week
- 4 hours per visit
Location:
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Certificate in Fire Safety Manager Course.
- Eligible to be registered with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) for building compliance
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Must be a Singaporean citizen or Permanent Resident (PR).
- Ability to conduct inspections on weekdays
