About the role

Role purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Finance Partnering‑SEA, the Regional Senior Finance Analyst supports their line manager by delivering in‑depth financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision‑making within a designated business unit scope. This role involves financial modelling, planning and forecasting, reporting and financial accounting operations and process execution support, to drive business performance and ensure financial health.

Financial Analysis and Insights
  • Conduct complex financial analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Support business case development and investment analysis.
  • Drive problem‑solving initiatives, focusing on root causes and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models for scenario and predictive analysis.
  • Generate reports and perform commercial analysis.
Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, collaborating with business leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates.
  • Review variance analysis and provide business context commentary.
  • Perform complex scenario modelling for business units/markets.
  • Review and comment on budget/forecast outputs.
Finance Operations Processes and Reporting
  • Collaborate to produce accurate and insightful financial/management reports.
  • Ensure finance processes (e.g., Record to Report, Invoice to Cash) are executed effectively.
  • Act as a key contact for process escalations and support issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support quality control and continuous improvement of financial reporting and processes.
  • Assist with regulatory submissions, journal requests, and reconciliations.
Stakeholder Management and Business Partnering
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand financial requirements and strategic goals.
  • Provide tailored financial advice and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Engage with key stakeholders as required, fostering open communication.
  • Respond promptly to escalated queries and concerns.
  • Liaise between finance and other business units to ensure alignment of financial initiatives.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Demonstrate integrity and transparency in reporting and decision‑making.
  • Coach and mentor junior analysts to foster a positive work environment.
  • Maintain high team engagement and recognize achievements.
Critical Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5‑8 years experience in a finance related role, demonstrating the ability to manage self and work independently with general supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting or financial reporting and operational processes.
  • Scenario modelling, data analytics and insights.
  • Knowledge and experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to communicate, present and collaborate.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
