Job description

NHG is seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst / Senior Finance Analyst to support the implementation and ongoing management of bundled payment models within our healthcare financing framework. This role will report to the Group Finance Deputy Director. This role will be instrumental in developing, analysing, and optimising payment structures that align provider incentives with quality outcomes and cost efficiency.

Job Purpose

  • Develop and maintain financial models for bundled payment arrangements, including episode-based costing and outcome performance metrics.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and projected costs, identifying trends and opportunities to ensure sustainability of bundled payment programs.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to measure program success.
  • Expertise in managing large healthcare datasets, creating automated reporting systems for bundled payment performance, and developing dashboards for stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of bundled payment models.
  • Develop timelines, milestones and deliverables and actively monitor project progress to ensure on-track delivery.
  • Provide training and support to users to facilitate adoption of bundled payment methodologies.
  • Regular interaction with healthcare providers and internal departments to gather requirements, communicate changes and ensure alignment on bundled payment objectives.
  • Requires strong presentation skills to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Health Economics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare finance, with exposure to alternative payment models preferred.
  • Senior-level candidates should have 5-8 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Macro, Power BI, and statistical software packages such as R or Python.
  • Proficiency in other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and present updates to stakeholders effectively.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy are critical for success in this role.
