Roles & Responsibilities
Overview
You will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and order processing functions for both the Australia and Singapore entities, while also supporting the accounting and administration tasks for China and Japan. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a cross-border environment.
Finance
- Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Ensure timely month-end closing and preparation of financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Handle journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations of balance sheet schedules.
- Assist in statutory reporting, tax filing (e.g., GST, corporate income tax), and audit schedules.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and banks when required.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax, and corporate regulations.
Order Processing / Sales Administration
- Support end-to-end sales order processing — from quotation issuance, order receipt, validation, invoicing, to delivery coordination.
- Liaise with sales, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth fulfilment and accurate billing.
- Maintain accurate customer and order data in ERP / accounting system.
- Monitor order status, ensuring timely communication with customers.
- Follow-up on overdue payments where necessary.
Others
- Perform any ad-hoc duties or assignments as required, in relation to finance, accounting, or order processing activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or a higher professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP system would be advantageous.
- Prior experience in a multinational company (MNC) environment is highly favourable
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized
- Proactive, responsible, able to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle responsibilities across two entities (Australia and Singapore).
