Job summary
A leading food and beverage company in Singapore seeks an experienced finance professional to oversee group consolidation, manage financial reporting, and develop the finance team. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage group consolidation, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Review subsidiaries’ monthly management accounts and ensure compliance with group accounting policies.
- Prepare/ review monthly management reports.
- Review monthly cashflow forecasts.
- Co-ordinate the preparation and review of annual budget and forecasts.
- Perform financial analysis to support business decisions and optimize profitability.
- Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including day-to-day financial operations for newly set up business units and investment holding companies.
- Review and ensure timely submission of GST returns.
- Review tax computation and ensure accurate and timely income tax filing.
- Handle group tax planning and transfer pricing analysis and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Liaise with bankers, lawyer, company secretary, external auditors, tax consultants and government agencies.
- Review and update group accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance by entities within the group.
- Drive financial process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage, coach and develop the finance team.
- Handle any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant working experience including group consolidation and financial reporting. Prior experience in F&B industry is a plus.
- Prior audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Oracle Netsuite or similar ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations.
- Meticulous, strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, hands-on, adaptable and resourceful team player with strong management and supervisory skills.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage, as the role requires regular communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
