Senior Finance Manager – Job Scope
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, IRAS, GCT) and relevant statutory requirements.
- Review and analyze financial reports (multiple companies linked to parent company) to provide management with key insights into business performance and financial health.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across departments.
- Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop long‑term financial projections and scenario analyses to support strategic decision‑making.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, and funding requirements.
- Oversee working capital management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory control.
- Optimize cash utilization and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and growth initiatives.
4. Strategic Planning & Business Support
- Partner with the CEO/Managing Director and senior management to drive business strategy and growth initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis to support new projects, investments, product launches, and business expansion.
- Conduct risk and return analysis to guide strategic decision‑making.
5. Internal Controls & Compliance
- Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and improve internal systems and workflows for greater efficiency and transparency.
6. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to enhance capability and performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Ensure clear delegation, training, and career development within the finance function.
7. Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Oversee insurance coverage, credit control policies, and financial risk assessments.
- Support crisis management and business continuity planning from a financial perspective.
8. Stakeholder Communication
- Present financial results, budgets, and strategic analyses to the Board and senior management.
- Build strong relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and other external stakeholders.
- Provide transparent, data‑driven financial insights to facilitate informed decision‑making.
