Senior Finance Executive

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Manage full set of accounts, including journal entries, AP/AR entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure absolute accuracy and timely recording of accounting transactions, management reports, and financial schedules.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring completeness of reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliation schedules for bank balances, payables, intercompany accounts, and other key financial items.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in financial consolidation and group reporting, where applicable.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports related to budgets, expenses, payables, and receivables.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation required for external and internal audits.
Taxation & Compliance
  • Handle corporate income tax computations, filing, and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and authorities to ensure proper monitoring of company finances and timely submission of statutory reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
  • Oversee sales and cost of goods/services sold, ensuring accurate revenue and expense recognition for client projects and media campaigns.
  • Prepare outgoing payables and provide timely payment advice to vendors.
  • Process and verify employees’ monthly expense claims in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage vendor balance reconciliation, follow up with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor AR aging and coordinate with stakeholders for collection follow-ups.
  • Ensure timely billing, collections, and payment processing.
  • Reconcile AR/AP balances and support cash flow management.
Process & Policy Management
  • Utilize SAP for all accounting and financial operations, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Review and improve standard operating procedures and financial policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to discuss financial plans, share insights, and recommend future courses of action.
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Manage the FP&A function, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial advisory and analytical insights to operational and management teams.
  • Assist in cost control, profitability analysis, and pricing support for new business pitches.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support financial planning and business decisions.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or other professional qualifications such as ACCA.
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in accounting and tax functions, preferably in the advertising, media, or marketing services industry.
  • Exposure to financial consolidation, FP&A and group reporting is a plus.
  • Experience working for MNCs with dynamic ERP system.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards, law & regulations, financial statements, corporate income tax, sales and cost accounting, AR/AP processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP is required.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools is a plus.
  • Experience in advertising business or service industry is preferred.
