Job Summary
The Senior Finance Executive manages full sets of accounts for multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial recording, statement preparation, and regulatory compliance. The role also involves maintaining the organization’s financial integrity and guiding junior staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Full Set of Accounts
- Prepare and maintain payment vouchers for various transactions.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Create schedules for tracking revenue, expenses, and other financial activities.
- Generate profit and loss statements to report the financial performance of the entities.
- Prepare balance sheet schedule.
- Manage general ledger entries and ensure proper documentation of journal entries.
- Audit & Tax Compliance
- Prepare and maintain Goods and Services Tax (GST) schedules in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare Quarterly GST Reports.
- Lead in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Coordinate and facilitate yearly audit processes for each entity, ensuring timely completion and compliance with audit requirements.
- Stay updated with changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to the finance team.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare various financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting purposes.
- Mentorship and Guidance
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounts staff, assisting them in handling tasks and developing their skills and competencies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, offering support and advice on accounting issues and procedures.
- Any other ad‑hoc projects or assignments which might be assigned from time to time.
Education / Certifications / Technical Skills
- Diploma or relevant certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience
- At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably with exposure to full set of accounts management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
