Job summary

SEVACO FASHION is seeking an experienced Senior Fashion Designer to support our retail operations at Tekka Centre and Lucky Plaza in Singapore. The role focuses on traditional and contemporary South Asian fashion, including bridal, festive, and custom wear, overseeing product development, fittings, and trade operations.

The candidate will lead trend research, fabric selection, and end-to-end sample production, while ensuring precise measurements and alterations for bespoke orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in fashion design and garment construction.
• Experience in South Asian / Indian garment construction, pattern making, draping, and custom alterations for traditional wear (sarees, lehengas, sherwanis, kurtas).
• Strong portfolio showing completed design and construction projects.
• Strong communication, team management, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Research fashion trends and create sketches, mood boards, and prototypes.
• Select fabrics, trims, and manage end-to-end sample production.
• Take precise customer measurements; construct, modify, and alter custom Indian attire to specifications.
• Oversee trading activities and manage product lists, cost sheets, and price estimates.

• Deliver exceptional service for bespoke customer orders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in fashion design and garment construction.
• Practical, hands‑on experience in South Asian / Indian garment construction, pattern making, draping, and custom alterations for traditional wear (such as sarees, lehengas, sherwanis, and kurtas) is strongly preferred.
• Strong portfolio showing completed design and construction projects.
• Strong communication, team management, and client-facing skills.
