Job summary

VF Brands Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Costing Analyst within the VF Material team in Apparel Sourcing. You will drive cost transparency, analyze fabric cost structures, and support supplier negotiations with data-driven insights to enable strategic decisions across the sourcing function.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain cost databases, and help digitize costing workflows while tracking market trends, currency impacts, and cost drivers across fabrics.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to build and interpret detailed cost breakdowns for fabrics and materials.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and PLM systems.
• Knowledge of global textile markets, commodity pricing, and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate fabric cost breakdowns from suppliers against internal benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain cost models for various fabric types.
• Track cost trends, market fluctuations, and currency impacts affecting fabric pricing.
• Prepare cost comparison reports to support sourcing decisions and seasonal planning.
• Partner with the Director of Material Sourcing to support seasonal cost negotiations with Tier 2 suppliers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through material consolidation, supplier leverage, and process optimization.
• Provide cost insights to design, development, and sourcing teams to guide material selection and development.
• Maintain a centralized database of fabric cost data, supplier quotes, and historical pricing.
• Support the digitization of costing workflows and integration with PLM systems.
• Work closely with materials development, product costing, and sourcing teams to ensure alignment on cost targets and strategies.
