Job summary

SINGAPORE ASSURANCE PAC is seeking an experienced external auditor to lead engagements in line with IFRS and Singapore Standards on Auditing. The role requires strong leadership to guide audit teams, supervise risk assessment, procedures, and reporting, and to develop tailored audit programmes.

You will perform detailed tests, review findings, prepare working papers, and draft reports for audit committees and senior management, while mentoring junior staff and maintaining client relationships

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) with external audit experience.
• 5-8 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm or equivalent.
• Ability to plan and execute complex audit engagements independently.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Singapore Standards on Auditing.
• Experience supervising and developing junior audit staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency with audit software and IT systems.
• Professional demeanor with commitment to audit independence and ethics.
• Experience across diverse industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and execute external audit engagements per standards and firm policies.
• Lead audit teams through risk assessment, procedures, and reporting.
• Develop and review tailored audit programmes.
• Perform detailed audit procedures including tests of controls and substantive testing.
• Review findings and determine their impact on audit opinions.
• Prepare audit working papers documenting procedures and conclusions.
• Draft audit reports and communicate findings to committees and management.
• Mentor and coach junior audit staff.
• Manage client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Identify and implement improvements to audit processes.
