Job Description
Grant Administration
- Advises researchers on grant guidelines and requirements.
- Provides administration support to researchers throughout the entire grant cycle: grant application, grant awarding, budget and expenses tracking, reporting of project status and project closure.
- Acts as the point of contact between researchers and various administration departments to support the management of research projects.
- Manages grant calls and serves as liaison to funding agencies.
Research Agreement
- Supports researchers to draft, review, negotiate and execute research agreements, working closely with researchers, collaborators and internal and external legal offices.
Departmental Ethics Review Committee (DERC) Secretariat
- Provides ethics review by reviewing applications, communicating feedback, and reviewing amendments to processing review outcomes.
- Organises DERC meetings and keeps records of DERC reviews and outcomes.
Research Office
- Organises research seminars and meetings.
- Reports research metrics for the School and researchers.
Qualifications
- Applicants are expected to have at least a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution.
- Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in an administrative position within academic, research or healthcare sector.
- Candidates with experience in research administration, grant management, agreement review, research ethics, research compliance or database management will be at an advantage.
- A team player with effective problem‑solving skills and excellent communication skills to perform well in a fast‑paced environment.
- Able to take initiative to learn on the job and manage various responsibilities.
