A leading education support organization in Singapore seeks a Project Support Officer to assist in operational and administrative tasks for school relocation projects. Candidates should have a degree in relevant engineering fields and at least 5 years of experience in facility or project management. Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. This role provides a vital support function to ensure the smooth execution of educational projects.
MINDS is undertaking a multi-years project to relocate its Special Education Schools and Special Student Care Centres to cater to increasing enrolments for students with special needs. This position is required to serve as a business partner to provide operational, logistical and administrative support to the Schools' Gardens Rebuilding, Redevelopment and Occupation Works (GROW) Senior Manager to ensure smooth execution of school relocation and redevelopment activities.
Support coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project development activities
Support project risk management.
Support the reviews of submitted final design submittals and consolidate the feedback obtained from stakeholders.
Support the follow up on compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements including health and safety standards
Monitors and provide reminders on the project progress and timeline to work with stakeholders for prompt resolution
Track outstanding issues with contractors for prompt follow up
Ensure proper records of handing/taking over
Coordinate with Schools on the relocation to minimise disruption to normal operation
Assist in the tracking of budget and compliance with budget spending
Assist in proper tracking of assets during handing and taking over including facilitating the smooth transition of capitalised accounting records and funded assets.
Assist in the preparations of reports and submission to funders and government authorities.
Assist in progress report to management
Assist to track terms and conditions of signed agreements.
Ensuring proper knowledge management and filling including keeping of drawings and building plans.
Facilitate audit
Assist in preparing requirement specifications for procurement.
Additional duties as necessary
Degree/Diploma in Civil/Building/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant experience in Facility/Project management
Good inter-personal and communication skills, able to work independently as well as in a team environment with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Experience in project management, coordinating site refurbishment, fund accounting and/or social service sector are advantageous.
