A notable education firm in Singapore is seeking a Merchandising Manager to develop and implement category strategies, oversee product development, and analyze sales performance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in merchandising, alongside strong analytical and communication skills. This role requires collaboration with various internal teams and external partners to ensure success.

Develop and implement global and local merchandising and category management strategies.
Analyze business environments, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
Plan and manage product assortments, including pricing, promotions, and visual merchandising to align with global guidelines and local market needs.
Oversee the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from concept and sampling to launch and quality control.
Identify and evaluate new product ideas and work with suppliers to drive innovation.
Monitor and analyze sales reports, sell‑through rates, and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and profitability.
Make data‑driven recommendations for replenishment, markdowns, and other strategic decisions.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of merchandising efforts.
Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and operations to align on campaigns and initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including vendors, suppliers, and retail partners.
Degree in Merchandising, Retail Management, Business, or a related field.
At least 3 years in merchandising, buying, or category management, preferably in a global retail environment.
Strong analytical skills, proficient in using Excel and other retail and data systems.
Ability to develop and execute strategies, balance competing priorities, and make sound business decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with global and local teams.
A strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape.
