What the role is
We are looking for an experienced communications professional who has a passion for media relations, corporate and internal communications. You have a knack for sniffing out story angles that will get the attention of mainstream media and enjoy seeing through the entire process of garnering media stories – from researching and identifying story angles, to pitching stories, to arranging interviews, to monitoring and analysing media coverage.
What you will be working on
- Support content strategy and editorial planning for the organisation’s websites and publication partnerships
- Commission, edit and publish articles, case studies and enterprise-focused stories that support our brand and business goals
- Oversee website content governance and publishing workflows, including collaboration with developers and vendors on enhancements
- Build and manage partnerships with media outlets and publishers to amplify our reach and reputation
- Support media relations efforts by identifying story angles, preparing media materials, and coordinating responses to press queries
- Work with internal stakeholders to shape narratives and develop media‑friendly content that enhances brand visibility
- Translate technical subject matter into accessible, engaging content across digital and print channels
- Ensure clarity, consistency and quality across all written outputs in alignment with strategic messaging
- Track and analyse content performance to refine editorial direction and optimise user engagement
- Contribute to integrated communications efforts, including campaign content and social media publicity strategic brand initiatives
- Prepare all corporate and internal communications materials including annual reports, corporate collaterals (brochures, fact sheets, videos, presentations, branding materials), staff announcements and organise staff townhalls amongst other things
- Support ongoing integration work for the corporate communications and marketing communications teams to ensure clarity, synergies, and alignment of work processes
What we are looking for
- Relevant training in communications, journalism or marketing or its equivalent
- Strong public relations or communications background with 4 years of demonstrable track record at an agency or in an in-house role with public / private sector agencies / companies
- Outstanding writing skills with the ability to write in a journalistic style, with speed, clarity and simplicity. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
- A skilled user of emerging technologies to augment communications work
- A keen understanding of the local media landscape
- Experience in cultivating local media
- A creative thinker with a keen eye for detail
- A strong team player with polished interpersonal skills
