A leading logistics firm in Singapore is seeking a highly motivated WSH professional to assist in driving safety practices and initiatives. Candidates should possess a Degree/Diploma in EHS or related field and have at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the logistics industry. Responsibilities include assisting in compliance with ISO standards, conducting safety audits, and preparing EHS training materials. We are looking to hire a highly motivated and competent WSH professional to assist in driving safety practices and initiatives in the organization. The person will assist to developing and implementing WSH policies, ensuring safety compliance with regulatory requirements, review risk assessment and supervise subordinates accordingly.
Assist in the bizSAFE Program, QEHS Certification and support Safety Case Implementation for MHI premises
Assist in maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 requirements and follow up actions for closure
Participate in and follow up EHS related audits, e.g. Safety Audit on Managing Hazardous Substances, CERT Audit, audit by customers, etc.
Conduct safety walks and inspections and follow up with the operations team to close the findings
Support the operations team in the inspection of contractor’s work activity and evaluate contractor’s EHS performance; review and approve PTW (e.g. working at heights, lifting, etc.)
Prepare reports, presentation and meeting minutes for related EHS meetings, WSH Committee meeting and other EHS related materials.
Conduct accident investigation, identify root cause and follow up on the corrective actions
Prepare and conduct EHS related trainings/briefings/toolbox meetings and conduct EHS orientations for new staff on the first day of work
Prepare & attend safety promotion activities such as EHS promotion week, and customer’s safety campaigns, etc.
Assist operations department to identify and evaluate hazards and review Risk Assessment, and proactively eliminate any risks
Provide relevant posters/ videos/ materials relating to safety to operations
Review, update and renew Transport Emergency Response Plan and ERP
Conduct emergency response training, tabletop exercise, drills, etc.
Ensure staff work safely in a safe workplace and integrate safety into daily work activities
Degree/Diploma in EHS or related field
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferably in logistics industry
Competent in ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 requirements
Certified MOM Safety Officer preferred
FSM certified preferred
Able to communicate with all levels of staff
