Job summary

Sunrate is seeking a hands-on Card Operations Specialist to manage end-to-end card issuance and lifecycle tasks, including activation, replacement, and suspension. You will coordinate with financial institutions, platform partners, and service providers to ensure smooth operations.

The role covers monitoring funding, settlement, reconciliation, and investigating exceptions, while collaborating with Compliance and Risk on KYB/KYC and AML controls.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in card operations, payment operations, fintech, banking or related financial-services environment.
• Good understanding of card issuance, settlement and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with eKYB/eKYC, AML and compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience building SOPs, workflows and operational controls.

Responsibilities

• Investigate failed transactions and operational exceptions, and respond to partner inquiries.
• Work with Compliance and Risk on KYB/KYC, AML and related controls.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, Technology and HQ Operations to resolve issues and support new launches.
• Localise HQ processes, develop SOPs and workflows, and identify automation opportunities.

What you’ll be spending your time on:

• Manage end-to-end card issuance and card lifecycle operations, including issuance, activation, replacement, suspension and termination.
• Coordinate with financial institutions, card processors, platform partners and other service providers on operational matters.
• Support onboarding and implementation of new corporate and Web3 partners.
• Monitor card funding, transactions, settlement and reconciliation processes.
• Investigate failed transactions, reconciliation breaks, operational exceptions and partner enquiries.
• Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams on KYB/KYC, AML, transaction monitoring and related controls.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Product, Technology and HQ Operations to resolve operational issues and support new programme launches.
• Replicate and localise existing HQ operating processes, including developing SOPs, workflows and operational controls.
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for automation or operational improvement.
• Prepare basic operational reports on volumes and track service levels, issues and exceptions.

For this role you’ll also have:

• Around 2-4 years of experience in card operations, payment operations, fintech, banking or a related financial-services environment.
• Practical experience in card issuance or card lifecycle operations is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of payment transaction flows, settlement and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with eKYB/eKYC, AML and financial-services compliance requirements.
• Experience working with payment fintech, financial institutions, card processors or payment partners would be advantageous.
• Exposure to Web3, cryptocurrency, digital assets or crypto-linked payment products would be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working independently and building processes in a lean, growing environment.
