Overview

The incumbent provides support and ensures the day-to-day smooth operations of Research Office. Working with the management, he/she will be responsible to liaise with various stakeholders/agencies to support the research activities in Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) and be actively involved in implementing SingHealth / National Medical Research Council (NMRC) / Ministry of Health (MOH) research polices. He/she will provide support for the research projects which focus on Clinical, Nursing and Allied health research initiatives in SKH and oversee the improvement and implementation of research administration.

Responsibilities
  • Grant and Contract Management: Assist staff in identifying funding opportunities.
  • Grant and Contract Management: Support the preparation, submission, and tracking of grant proposals.
  • Grant and Contract Management: Review and negotiate research contracts and agreements.
  • Grant and Contract Management: Monitor grant expenditures and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Grant and Contract Management: Liaise with finance departments to ensure accurate billing and fund disbursement.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Review and coordinate Institutional Review Board (IRB) and ethics committee submissions.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Maintain records for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Administrative Support: Organize research-related meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Administrative Support: Provide guidance to staff on research policies and procedures.
  • Others: Foster a collaborative and compliant research environment.
  • Others: Develop and implement process improvements for research administration.
  • Others: Any related duties as assigned by Research Director.
Education, Training and Experience
  • Education / Qualifications: Preferably degree in Life Sciences or Allied health with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • The candidate must be matured, able to think critically and is sensitive to cross-cultural values and trustworthiness.
  • Prior experience in research administration would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in English language and possess good writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently at a high level are desired.
