Job summary

The Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) is looking for a Planning team member to support the CEO office, develop strategic frameworks and assist with Board secretariat services. This role offers exposure to senior officials and cross-unit collaboration across healthcare and research ecosystems.

You will help manage budgeting, procurement, funding papers, and communicate initiatives to stakeholders, while tracking performance and contributing to strategic planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Biotechnology or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, with experience managing funding initiatives and report writing.
  • Experience and/or strong technical knowledge in health care and/or clinical science is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; meeting secretariat experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills; able to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support CEO office functions and develop strategic frameworks for CRIS.
  • Contribute to implementation initiatives and provide Board secretariat services.
  • Coordinate budgeting, procurement, funding papers, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend CRIS Board meetings and manage agendas, minutes, and logistics.
  • Track performance measures and prepare periodic management reports.

Overview

The Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) brings together seven national R&D, clinical translation and service programmes to advance clinical research and innovation for Singapore and establish important capabilities for a future-ready healthcare system. The Business Entities under CRIS include:

  • Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI)
  • Advanced Cell Therapy and Research Institute, Singapore (ACTRIS)
  • Cardiovascular Disease National Collaborative Enterprise (CADENCE)
  • SIngapore Medical Foundation AI Model Programme (SIMFONI)
About CRIS

The Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation Singapore (CRIS), a wholly owned subsidiary of MOH Holdings, was established in 2020 with the goal of strengthening synergies and promulgating strategies for national-level clinical research and translation programmes under the stewardship of the Singapore Ministry of Health.

The Role:

As a member of the Planning team in CRIS, you will be involved in supporting CEO office functions, developing strategic frameworks, contributing to implementation initiatives, and providing Board secretariat services. You will gain valuable experience in stakeholder management through regular interaction with CRIS’s Business Units and diverse partners across the healthcare and research ecosystem. This role offers significant exposure to senior officials from the healthcare and research industry, providing opportunities to understand high-level decision-making processes and build professional networks within Singapore's biomedical research landscape.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Working with key stakeholders in CRIS and the Business Units to ensure smooth planning and execution of the organisation’s key goals.
  • Be involved in developing key initativeswithin CRIS and the Business Units.
  • Handle administrative support tasks as part of the CRIS Planning function, including but not limited to working with other corporate functions within the organisation for budget planning, managing procurement activities (such as sourcing quotations from vendors, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with procurement thresholds and guidelines, drafting of funding papers and communicating initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • For CRIS Board meetings and other selected meetings, attend and take on a secretariat role, which includes managing relevant approval processes, coordinating meeting schedules of attendees, consolidating meeting agenda and materials, recording of minutes, tracking of task deadlines and matters arising, attendance taking and making other logistics arrangements necessary to ensure a successful and seamless meeting.
  • Track performance measures for key initiatives and manage periodic reports to the management and stakeholders.
  • Take part in ad-hoc planning and strategy tasks as required by the management.
