Job summary

A major healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to support patient services. Overview

The Job: The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager will assist to provide support to the Department in providing a seamless, high level of service to patients seeking medical assistance and treatment in Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

The job duties include but is not limited to the following:

  • Manage the Patient Liaison Service front desk ensuring professional and efficient service delivery during operating hours.
  • Process patient registration, appointment scheduling, and documentation requests at the front desk.
  • Liaise with overseas referral operations as well as direct patients to facilitate smooth referral of patients to SGH and other SingHealth institutions for medical treatment and assistance.
  • Process insurance pre-authorisation requests and handle related queries ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Liaise with stakeholders such as doctors, wards, Patient Financial Services, embassy, patients, NOK and evacuation companies for optimal productivity and cooperation with external partners.
  • Organise and participate in partners\' events. May need to travel to meet up with potential overseas partners.
  • Maintain inventory of patient information materials, forms, and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate and participate for workplace audit ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications

  • Relevant Degree with at least 1 year of experience in hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with initiative, pleasant disposition and ability to work independently. Must also be able to work well and interact with people at all levels including patients, families, clinical staff and external partners.
  • Good analytical, organisational and communication (both verbal and written) skills, good time management skills with the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in additional languages is highly preferred for international patient coordination.
