This role will provide strategic HR support to group functional leaders and selected overseas markets, driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives. This role collaborates closely with stakeholders to enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and talent development across the group.
In addition, the role oversees Singapore payroll administration in partnership with an outsourced service provider, and manages in-house payroll for selected overseas markets, ensuring smooth operations, accurate data management, and compliance.
This role requires excellent people skills, a problem-solving mindset, flexibility and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll (Singapore – Outsourced Service Provider, Overseas – Inhouse)
- Serve as the primary liaison with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Prepare, validate and submit payroll inputs (e.g. allowance, claims, overtime, new hires, terminations, variable payouts)
- Review payroll calculations and reports for accuracy before approval.
- Coordinate statutory submissions (CPF, IRAS forms, government claims) with the payroll provider and ensure compliance
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for select overseas markets, ensuring timely and accurate payouts
- Support audits, payroll reconciliations, and month-end reporting to Finance
- Address employee queries related to payroll and benefits promptly and professionally
Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Partner with senior leaders to understand business goals and develop HR strategies across assigned entities or business units
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, performance, organizational design, workforce planning, performance and employee relations
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment and onboarding. Coordinate confirmations, transfers and exits
- Support annual HR cycles including performance reviews, salary reviews, bonus exercises, and talent management initiatives
- Assist in driving group-wide HR initiatives, engagement activities and policy updates.
Employee Engagement and Retention
- Assess employee sentiment regularly and implement initiatives to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and retention
- Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization
HR Operations, Compliance & Projects
- Partner with outsourced providers on HR operations, benefits administration, and HRIS management
- Ensure HR practices comply with local and regional employment laws and regulations
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards while maintaining data accuracy
- Support HR process improvements, digitalisation efforts and system enhancements
- Assist with internal audits, ad-hoc projects, and maintenance of employee records and HR data
Change Management
- Support organizational transformational initiatives and ensure successful implementation of change initiatives
- Act as a change agent, fostering adaptability and resilience within the organization
Performance Management
- Ensure alignment of performance management process with company objectivesAdvise and coach managers on performance-related issues, including performance improvement plans
Talent Management and Development
- Collaborate with the Talent Management team on succession planning, talent assessment, and career development programs
- Identify high-potential employees and support plans for their development and retention
- Work with the L&D team to identify and implement learning programs that enhance employee capabilities
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of progressive HR experience, including hands-on payroll support in both an outsourced and inhouse payroll model.
- English & Mandarin preferred to liaise with Mandarin speaking colleagues in China and Hong Kong
