Job description

The Kickstart Exercise and Empower Parkinson's (KEEP) program is an evidence-based community rehabilitation initiative designed specifically for people with Parkinson's disease in Singapore. Developed by allied health professionals from TTSH and SGH, KEEP offers structured, disease-stage-tailored interventions that go beyond generic exercise program.

The initiative comprises three main components:

  1. KEEP Fit: Focuses on cardiovascular fitness, strength and balance training
  2. KEEP Active: Addresses movement strategies, fall prevention and activities of daily living
  3. KEEP Well, which provides mental health and psychosocial support for both patients and caregivers.

Unlike the current reactive approach to Parkinson's rehabilitation, KEEP aims to intervene early, from the point of diagnosis to slow disease progression, maintain function and enable people with Parkinson's to remain independent in the community for longer with improved quality of life.

The incumbent will support the KEEP program by contributing to effective collaboration with various partners to enhance patient enrollment. This role provides an opportunity to develop analytical skills and contribute to improvements in rehabilitation care and patient flow under supervision.

  • Support implementation of rehabilitation care improvements and patient flow enhancement initiatives
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to support programme and institute objectives

Requirements:

  • Experience in programme management in healthcare
