Job description

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of commercially viable health insurance customer offerings. This role will primarily be involved in pricing of new business / products and will be working closely with both the Business Sales and Product Development teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Be involved in pricing, carrying out data analytics and portfolio management for Group, Individual Health and Shield portfolios
  • Conduct regular assumption studies including inflation study, expense study and technical pricing review
  • Maintain and enhance pricing tools and quotation engine
  • Support system set up and implementation for product launches
  • Produce and enhance business management information and client reports, with a focus on data-driven insights that will facilitate discussion of business strategies
  • Engage reinsurers to put in place reinsurance arrangements, as part of the new product development process and to maintain existing facultative reinsurance arrangements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement key strategic initiatives
Requirements
  • Actuarial / Mathematics / Statistics Degree
  • Good progress in the Actuarial professional examinations
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, with basic knowledge of VBA
  • Good knowledge of Python
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Meticulous and resourceful individual
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in pricing of Group Employee Benefit schemes
