1 Senior ERP Technical Manager

1.1 Role Overview

Position: Senior ERP Technical Manager
Location: Singapore (Regional Role)
Team Size: 5 to 10 SAP Technical Developers (internal & external)
Reports To: Delivery Director

1.2 Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Technical Manager to lead a team of SAP developers in delivering high-quality, innovative, and future-ready SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of SAP technical development expertise with strong leadership experience, hands-on technical capabilities, and the ability to guide solution design across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and advanced analytics.

This role will be pivotal in managing project deliveries, driving technology adoption, and mentoring a talented team of SAP developers, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and innovation.

2 Key Responsibilities

2.1 Team leadership & Management

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 5 to 10 SAP technical developers.
• Oversee task allocation, project planning, and quality delivery of development objects.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture aligned with SAP best practices.

2.2 Technical Solutioning & Delivery

• Design, review, and oversee technical solutions for SAP ECC and S/4HANA projects.
• Provide architectural guidance on SAP custom development, integration, and automation.
• Engage in complex development tasks (ABAP, CDS, AMDP, OData, PI/PO, Fiori).

2.3 Innovation & New Technologies

• Champion adoption of SAP BTPservices for integration, extension, and innovation.
• Leverage Core Data Services (CDS), AI/ML models, IoT, and SAP Analytics Cloud to deliver modern business solutions.
• Explore opportunities for intelligent automation and advanced analytics within SAP landscapes.

2.4 Project Engagement

• Partner with functional and business teams to define technical requirements and deliverables.
• Support sales and pre-sales by presenting technical solutions, feasibility, and effort estimates.
• Drive successful project implementations, upgrades, and migrations (ECC → S/4HANA, PI → PO, POSDM → CAR).

2.5 Governance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with SAP coding standards and performance optimization practices.
• Manage technical documentation, reviews, and audits.
• Establish a roadmap for continuous improvement and technology enablement.

3 Qualifications & Experience

3.1 Education & Experiences

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Experience:

• 15+ years of SAP Technical Development experience (ABAP, OOP, CDS, AMDP, OData, PI/PO).
• Strong background in SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Proven track record in technical leadership, team management, and mentoring.
• Exposure to multiple industries including retail, logistics, distribution, and manufacturing.
• End-to-end SAP project experience including migrations, integrations, and analytics solutions.

3.2 Technical Skills

• SAP ABAP, CDS, AMDP, HANA Data Models
• SAP BTP, SAP OData v2/v4, APIs, JSON, REST
• SAP PI/PO, IDoc/EDI, Workflow, Fiori
• SAP Analytics Cloud, Embedded Analytics
• Familiarity with AI/ML, IoT integration, and cloud-based architectures
