Adecco is partnering with a globally renowned manufacturer that specializes in Laser system and Optical material products. The organization is searching for a Senior Equipment Engineer to join the team. This position will support laser manufacturing operations by leading the installation, qualification, and integration of new production equipment. This role ensures that manufacturing tools for solid‑state laser, and ultrafast laser systems meet optical precision, safety, and performance standards.
The Job:
- Lead installation, setup, and qualification (IQ) of new manufacturing and test equipment for laser, optical sub‑assembly, and alignment systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, process, and facilities engineering to ensure new tools meet beam alignment, optical precision, and cleanliness requirements.
- Conduct FAT, calibration, and validation for tools such as optical metrology instruments, thermal chamber, vacuum chamber, wire bonders and plasma systems.
- Develop and maintain equipment documentation including SOPs, maintenance manuals, and calibration records.
- Implement and improve predictive maintenance programs, using data analytics, sensor feedback, and condition monitoring to reduce unplanned downtime and extend tool lifespan.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement projects to enhance alignment accuracy, throughput, and beam quality in optical and laser assembly lines.
- Analyze equipment data (SPC, DOE, MTBF) to track tool performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with global Coherent equipment and optics teams for benchmarking and technology transfer.
- Ensure full EHS and laser safety compliance, including handling of high‑power optical systems.
The Talent:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Optical Engineering, Photonics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in equipment or process engineering within laser, optics, or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience with predictive maintenance systems, optical alignment, and laser performance validation strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with optical metrology instruments (e.g., beam propagation analyzer, beam profilers, power meters).
- Knowledge of robotics, motion control, programming and condition‑based monitoring systems.
- Understanding of beam alignment principles, laser diode and optical coating.
- Familiar with data‑driven maintenance tools, vibration/temperature sensors, and reliability tracking software.
