Job summary

Seagate Technology in Singapore is seeking a technician to lead a group of technicians in installing and maintaining production equipment. You will identify root causes of machine issues, perform repairs, and ensure safety regulations are followed.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering and a collaborative, adaptable, and meticulous approach to work. Reporting to an Engineer/Manager, you will support production reliability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering is required.
• Ability to lead a group of technicians and work with Engineer/Manager.
• Capable of diagnosing machine issues and implementing remedies.
• Perform maintenance and unscheduled repairs to production equipment and daily checklists.

About our group:

Equipment Engineering’s group primary mission is to provide technical solutions and good maintenance to our machinery. This enables our Equipment production machine to have good product qualification, product yield, quality and reliability. The team also serves a critical maintenance role, working closely with and enabling other functions in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechtronic, Computer & Automation Technology, and Manufacturing. This role will report to an Engineering Manager.

About the role - you will:

• Able to lead group of technicians to perform task assigned by Engineer / Manager
• Able to identify and provide root cause of machine related issue and remedy action.
• Perform assigned duties to install and maintain production machine or equipment.
• Provide unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• And performs scheduled maintenance repair task
• Perform daily machine checklist responsibilities.
• Perform task assigned by Team lead and Engineer for required maintenance and service.
• Provide knowledge in diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments with circuit diagram
• Report writing (PowerPoint, excel, etc.) when required.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Assist Engineers / Peers for project improvement as needed
