Job summary

Seagate Technology in Singapore is seeking a contamination control engineer to support cleanroom manufacturing and drive process improvements. The role involves audits, data-based defect investigation, and root cause analysis to sustain high yield and product quality.

You will tune containment strategies, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in semiconductor, HDD, electronics, or cleanroom manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience in contamination control, process troubleshooting, and manufacturing operations.
• Familiar with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, 8D, FMEA, or Fishbone.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Contamination control engineering aims to ensure there is sufficient level of cleanliness in a controlled environment. We are involved with certain strategic planning and management of equipment systems and processes to ensure integrity of cleanroom is maintained and mitigate potential excursions.
