Job summary

A prominent aerospace engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an individual for a role focused on engine and product repair. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering, along with 3 to 5 years of experience in propulsion engines and components MRO environment. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role, which includes technical support and investigation of quality failures.

Qualifications

  • Min. 3 to 5 years of working experience in Propulsion Engines and Components MRO Environment preferred.
  • Demonstrate high degree of initiative.

Responsibilities

  • In-charge of repair engine products/platform - technical functions.
  • Provide technical support for mature repairs.
  • Design, review and RFQ for production repair fixtures/jigs/tools.
  • Lead or assist in investigation of engine/product quality failure.

Job description

Key Job Accountabilities:

Engine/Product Repair
  • In-charge of repair engine products/platform - technical functions
  • Provide technical support for mature repairs (manual discrepancies, proposing out-of-manual repairs)
  • Publication reviews from OEM/Customer (ESM, SB, IC, industrial specifications etc)
  • Design, review and RFQ for production repair fixtures/jigs/tools
  • Perform tooling and consumable equivalency reviews
  • Carry out First Article on new repairs
  • Do Capability Setup/Declaration on new repairs, equipment or processes for submission to authority
  • Drafting/amendment of technical worksheets
  • Lead or assist in investigation of engine/product quality failure, carry out root cause analysis, follow up on corrective and preventive measures
Repair Process
  • In-charge of repair special processes
  • Provide technical support in repairs or process quality issues (equipment, parameters, manual discrepancies etc)
  • Publication reviews from OEM/Customer (ESM, SPM, IC, industrial specifications etc.)
  • Generate and govern process parameters and improvements/cost savings
  • Maintain and control in-house process specifications
  • Prepare new equipment FMM (maintenance procedures)
  • Prepare new process aviation HIRA (risk assessment)
  • Lead or assist in investigation of process quality failure or industrial accidents, carry out root cause analysis, follow up on corrective and preventive measures
  • Liaison with Authorities (e.g. NEA) on processes requirements when applicable
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Min. 3 to 5 years of working experience in Propulsion Engines and Components MRO Environment preferred
  • Strong Fundamentals in Engineering Drawing interpretations
  • Understanding of Repair Processes is an added advantage
  • Regulatory NDT requirements
  • FAA 45 /EASA 145 regulations
