Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Process Integration Engineer to join its R&D team in Singapore. You will drive development of FEOL/BEOL semiconductor processes and translate scientific insights into scalable manufacturing solutions.

You will design and run DOE-based experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with process engineering and applications teams to advance technology and enable next-generation devices.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor or Master or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on R&D experience with semiconductor equipment, patterning, film deposition or CMP.
• Strong experimental background, including designing experiments and analyzing complex data sets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Curiosity and motivation to translate academic research into industrial results.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research, development, and optimization of FEOL/BEOL processes (Litho, RIE, ALD, CVD, PVD, CMP).
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments using DOE-based approaches with senior experts.
• Characterize materials and processes to evaluate film quality and reliability.
• Analyze experimental data and document results in technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, process engineering, and applications.
• Support troubleshooting of process or equipment issues in lab and pilot environments.
• Participate in technology reviews and contribute ideas for process improvement.

As a Senior Process Integration Engineer, you will bring your experience into an industrial R&D environment, contributing to the development of semiconductor process technologies used in next-generation devices. Working closely with experienced engineers and scientists, you will translate scientific insight into scalable, manufacturable solutions. What you will be working on

• Contribute to the research, development, and optimization of semiconductor FEOL/BEOL processes, such as Litho, RIE, clean, ALD, CVD, PVD, ECP, CMP.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments using DOE-based approaches, supported by senior technical experts.
• Perform materials and process characterization to evaluate film quality, reliability, and performance.
• Analyze experimental data and clearly document results in technical reports and internal presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, process engineering, and applications.
• Support troubleshooting of process or equipment issues in laboratory and pilot environments.
• Participate in technology reviews and contribute ideas to process improvement and innovation initiatives.
• Learn industry best practices for transitioning processes from development into customer and manufacturing environments.

What we are looking for

• Minimum a Bachelor or Master or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
• Hands-on R&D experience with semiconductor equipment, patterning, film deposition or CMP
• Strong experimental background, including designing experiments and analyzing complex data sets.
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured approach to research challenges.

• Strong understanding of electro/mechanical equipment and software systems
