RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the Mechanical maintenance team, you will be responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment to achieve high reliability and availability in accordance with statutory, regulatory and safety requirement.

• Lead and execute preventive, corrective, and outage maintenance for major CCPP equipment including Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSG, and plant auxiliaries.
• Perform troubleshooting, vibration analysis, borescope inspections, and root cause analysis for mechanical failures, recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Plan, manage, and optimize minor/major overhauls, including scope development, contractor supervision, QA/QC, and safety compliance.
• Responsible for the functional tests and analyse the failures related to mechanical systems and components and recommends corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence. Troubleshooting of faults/defects issues & carry out failure analysis.
• Study, evaluate and implement plant improvement projects to enhance overall plant reliability, availability and performance.
• Supervision of maintenance contract works and prepare work procedures for all maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment parts and work services. Manage the procurement of parts and services to meet the maintenance needs.
• Track the year to date expenditure against the approved department budget.
• Lead and guide the technical officer and technicians ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety during daily operations and shutdown maintenance works.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineers Board.
• At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience in combined cycle power plant or Oil and Gas industries with hands‑on experience maintaining Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSG, and mechanical auxiliaries system.
• Good Technical knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance methodologies, outage practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Self‑motivated team player with analytical mind, strong planning and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in contractor management, outage planning, and preparation of detailed technical reports.
• Strong safety mindset with good understanding of PTW, risk assessments, and statutory safety requirements.
• Be a part of the CERT team and be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.
