Job description
Perform fitting, alignment, and assembly of marine engine components such as cylinder heads, liners, pistons, crankcases, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
Maintenance on marine engines
Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions
Act as a team lead for a small team of fitters or junior technicians.
Allocate tasks, monitor daily progress, and ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and support to less experienced staff.
Support or lead testing and trial runs of assembled engines.
Provide daily progress reports to the workshop supervisor.
Report defects, non-conformities, or material shortages promptly.
Enforce and adhere to safety protocols and risk assessments.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good working condition.
Request replacement tools or materials when required and ensure accountability.
Requirements:
NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
3 years of marine engine fitting experience
