Job summary

GovTech seeks a qualified lawyer to join the MAS Enforcement Department on a 2-year contract to advise on enforcement actions, engage in policy formulation, and liaise with foreign regulators under international cooperation frameworks.

The role requires a recognised law degree and Singapore practice admission, with preference for prosecution and civil litigation experience, strong writing and analytical abilities, and the capacity to work independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Recognised law degree and admitted to legal practice in Singapore.
• Preferably with Criminal Prosecution and/or Civil/Commercial Litigation experience.
• Strong writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Interest in regulatory/enforcement policy formulation.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
• Singapore citizens.
• 2-year contract; shortlisting within 4 weeks of closing date.

Responsibilities

• Advise on enforcement actions, including criminal prosecution and civil penalties.
• Assist in formulating and implementing enforcement-related policy and legislative amendments.
• Provide assistance to foreign regulators under the MMoU when required.
• Collaborate with internal MAS departments and external agencies in a dynamic environment.
• Adapt to a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities and deadlines.
