Job summary

FILPAL (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Electronics Technician to perform hands-on soldering, wire/cable assembly, and functional testing in a lab.

You will support RF systems, prototypes, and test setups, read engineering drawings, and maintain ESD safety while documenting test results. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in lab/manufacturing soldering, assembly, and testing, with a diploma in Electrical/Electronics and familiarity with IPC/J-STD standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on soldering, assembly, and testing in a lab or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electronic components and circuits.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform precise soldering (SMT and through-hole) on PCBs and components.
• Assemble wire harnesses, crimp connectors, and cable assemblies per drawings and standards.
• Conduct electrical and functional testing of components and boards using test equipment.
• Assist engineers in RF test setups, including RF cabling and shielding/grounding practices.
• Support RF/high-frequency circuits, including coaxial cable assembly and impedance matching awareness.
• Train and guide the operator on the daily production process.
• Establish production work station, tool, and equipment arrangement.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Support prototypes builds, modifications, and rework activities.
• Document test results, assembly issues, and suggest improvements.
• Maintain lab tools and ensure ESD safety procedures are followed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of faulty boards or assemblies.
