Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance and reliability programs for electrical equipment. You will develop maintenance procedures, investigate equipment failures, and support expansion projects. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within the oil & gas or power generation industries. Strong technical expertise in high voltage systems is essential. Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance and reliability improvement programs for electrical equipment, especially in the Gas Engine Generator (GEG) area.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure consistent execution of electrical maintenance tasks.
• Plan and execute minor CAPEX electrical projects in compliance with company guidelines.
• Investigate electrical equipment failures, perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including government agencies on electrical compliance and technical matters.
• Support major expansion projects from an electrical and operational perspective.
• Collaborate with Licensed Electrical Workers to ensure integrity and safety of electrical systems.
• Participate in emergency response activities and perform assigned electrical roles during such events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in electrical maintenance or design in oil & gas, petrochemical or power generation facilities.
• Strong technical experience with high voltage electrical power systems.
• Highly analytical with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in planning, executing and supervising maintenance activities and minor projects.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and dynamic operational environments.
