Job summary

CAI in Singapore is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead all electrical commissioning activities on client sites and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams. You will drive testing, safety, and quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and P&IDs, with extensive travel and a focus on meeting commissioning deliverables and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of safety requirements (OSHA or equivalent).
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and clients.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical commissioning and testing per Scope of Works.
• Act as technical advisor on feasibility and methods.
• On-site technical lead coordinating vendors and teams.
• Participate in client meetings to define deliverables.
• Ensure documentation and certifications are provided.
• Review design docs and approve commissioning requirements.
• Develop test scripts and FAT/FWT as needed.
• Monitor schedule, progress, and communicate with project team.
• Prepare regular technical status reports.
• Flag risks and changes affecting schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with PM on scope variation.
