Job summary

IMD Info-communications Media Development Authority is seeking a cybersecurity professional to lead incident investigations and digital forensics within the Connectivity, Cybersecurity & Resilience Group in Singapore. You will work with a team to analyse incidents, determine root causes, and guide remediation efforts.

The role requires strong analytical skills and experience with SOC operations or similar environments, plus proficiency with leading forensic tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in cybersecurity incident investigations or digital forensics.
• Certifications such as GIAC GCFA, GREM, GCFE or GCIH are highly regarded.
• Proficiency with forensic toolkits (Magnet AXIOM, Encase, X-Ways, FTK, Autopsy).
• Experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and good communication with stakeholders.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats.

Responsibilities

• Work with team to ensure smooth daily operations and prioritisation; collaborate with stakeholders for timely response to cybersecurity incidents from containment to closure.
• Investigate incidents to determine root cause using log, digital forensics, or malware analysis; assess threats, vulnerabilities and exploits to provide guidance.
• Recommend preventive actions and mitigations; develop threat detection rules and signatures (e.g., Snort, Yara, Sigma) for incidents or campaigns.
• Prepare and review incident reports; present incident briefings including attack techniques and malware behaviours observed; address stakeholder inquiries.
• Review and update incident response playbooks; maintain processes and stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and attacker TTPs.
