Job summary

R Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps / Release Engineer specializing in Cloudera NiFi to own end-to-end environment setup, deployment, and release management. You will lead infrastructure configuration across CD, batch, app, DB, and NiFi spaces and collaborate with Dev, Infra, Network, and Security teams.

You will build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, monitor systems with Splunk/Geneos/Truesight, and manage access, certificates, and network controls.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in DevOps/Release/Environment Management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Expertise in Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) with Apache NiFi.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity.
• Familiar with Git, Bitbucket, and Aldon.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Geneos, or Truesight.
• Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of enterprise deployment and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage application setup, builds, and release deployments.
• Set up and configure infrastructure across CD, batch, app, DB, and NiFi environments.
• Work closely with Dev, Infra, Network, and Security teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Handle monitoring, logging, and alerting (Splunk, Geneos, Truesight).
• Manage SFTP, user access, SSL certificates, firewall, and DNS configurations.
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot issues across environments.
