Responsibilities
- Lead Process Design Engineer for the Process Design of Storage Terminals, Process Units in Refineries and Chemical Plants which involves the Basic and Detail Design including the preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, System Description, Process Control Philosophy, Hydraulic Calculation, Heat Transfer Calculation, Heat & Material Balance, Relief System Calculations, Utility Consumption, Equipment data sheets & Instrument data sheets.
- Prepare Technical Proposals including preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations and system description.
- Design Calculations for Pumps, heating coils, Thermal Relief valves and Tank venting calculations.
- Analyze pressure relief design scenario and calculate the relief load and validate the results
- Prepare Process Data Sheets for Instruments, Equipments & Tanks.
- Review other Discipline Documents including vendor documents, GA drawings, Instrument data sheets etc.
- Participate in HAZOP and SIL study, Review HAZOP Report and prepare HAZOP & SIL Close-out reports.
- Participate in P&ID Design Review and Process Control Philosophy Review, and prepare review Close-out reports.
- Design of Fire Protection System as per NFPA for the Storage Terminal, which includes Tank Farms, Pump Stations, Jetties, Truck Loading Bays
- Design of wastewater collection and disposal system for the Storage Terminal which includes Tank Farms, Pump Stations, Jetties, Truck Loading Bays
- Prepare Surge Analysis report using Pipenet Transient Module.
- Development of automated excel spreadsheets for process calculations.
- Performing Simulation using Aspen HYSYS & Unisim
- Preparation of simulation report & HMB.
- Equipment Sizing and Preparation of Equipment Data sheets.
- Preparation of technical specification in line with the project requirements
- Performing Hydraulic calculation and preparation of Data sheets for control valves.
- Performing Relief load calculation and preparation of Data sheets for safety valves.
- Design of Flare system using Flarenet.
- Utility sizing and Preparation of Utility Consumption report.
- Preparation of Process Control Philosophy & Cause and Effect diagram.
- To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
- To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
- Any additional Adhoc related work
Qualification
Preferably Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical)
Experience
Preferably Min. 10 years’ experience in oil and gas.
