Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to manage design activities for viaducts and bridge structures. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in large-scale civil engineering projects, strong skills in design software, and a degree recognized by the PE Board. This role involves overseeing all project phases and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Singapore.
• Strong experience in viaduct and/or bridge design is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in full-cycle project involvement.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering design, with strong exposure to viaducts or bridge projects. You will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure projects from concept through to construction, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with all relevant standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage design activities for civil engineering projects, with emphasis on viaducts and bridge structures.
• Oversee the full project design cycle, from preliminary design, detailed design, coordination, to construction support.
• Review and approve design submissions, calculations, and drawings to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the design team.
• Support tendering activities and provide engineering inputs for proposals when required.

Requirements:

• PE Board recognised degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Singapore, preferably in large-scale civil engineering projects.
• Strong experience in viaduct and/or bridge design is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in full-cycle project involvement (design engineer or design coordinator role).
• Proficient in design software and engineering analysis tools relevant to civil/structural design.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
