We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Design Director to guide our design department in creating innovative, functional, and visually compelling spatial experiences. This role requires strong expertise in spatial planning, AutoCAD drafting, and the ability to lead and mentor a multidisciplinary design team.
The ideal candidate will possess a refined design sensibility, technical precision, and proven experience managing complex event, interior, or exhibition projects from concept to execution.

SCOPE OF WORK
- Lead the creative direction of all design projects, ensuring alignment with brand identity, client objectives, and overall project goals.
- Oversee spatial planning and layout development, optimizing flow, usability, and aesthetic impact.
- Provide technical drafting in AutoCAD for layouts, shop drawings, technical drawings, elevation plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with structural and safety requirements.
- Supervise and mentor the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
- Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and 3D visualizations before client presentation.
- Collaborate closely with our 3D designers, project management, production, and technical teams to ensure design intent is realized effectively on-site.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and pitches to articulate design vision and rationale.
- Translate conceptual designs into buildable formats, maintaining budget and site constraints
- Generate AV technical layouts including rigging, truss, lighting, and audio‑visual setups
- Conduct site surveys and prepare drawings based on real‑world measurements
- Liaise with contractors to ensure layout and technical drawings align with their actual site measurements and conditions.
- Liaise with vendors for fabrication, print production, and onsite execution
- Maintain awareness of design trends, materials, and technologies relevant to spatial and experiential design.
CRITERIA
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of design experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing spatial design and technical documentation (kindly send a selection of relevant projects when submitting your application).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
