Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Administration: Manage and optimize MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases for high availability, performance, and security.
• Cloud & RDS Management: Administer databases in hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure) and RDS environments.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Implement and support Always On Availability Groups (AAG) and backup/recovery strategies.
• Performance Optimization & Automation: Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance while automating routine tasks.
• Data Warehousing & ETL: Design, implement, and maintain data warehouses, SSIS packages, and ETL processes

Key Requirements:

• Possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in database performance tuning, particularly MSSQL.
• Expertise in database performance tuning on table and index structure.
• Expertise in performance tuning on complex database queries and stored procedures, involving complex logic and joins of more than 5 tables.
• Expertise in regression testing changes made to database objects and queries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
