Job summary

A global technology powerhouse is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and optimize various databases including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. The role involves installation, configuration, security management, and troubleshooting of databases. Candidates should have proven DBA experience with a strong focus on performance tuning. This position is based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DBA with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Proficiency in installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of databases.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade databases and related software.
• Monitor database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Manage and maintain database security, ensuring data integrity and user access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Work closely with development teams to assist in the design and implementation of database solutions.

Description and Requirements

1. Migration and BAU support of 24 applications spread over heterogeneous databases (MySQL, SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL)
2. Project implementation for InProgress and upcoming Projects (SLA Geospace, SLA EDR, SLA IAR systems, and SLA GCC+ Common services)
3. Incident and Problem management for all DB related tasks.
4. DB cost optimization and automation.
5. Database annual disaster recovery.
6. DB audit support
