  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 13 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) (or 10 years work experience and a Master's degree).
  • 5 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 15 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • 6 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.
  • Experience in product analytics within Payments, e-commerce, or financial services.
  • Ability to manage sprint planning and execution across analysts, with clear alignment to executive leadership.
  • Excellent initiative in unstructured environments, with attention to detail.

Google Payments analysts drive decisions by turning data into insight. Whether modeling business scenarios, optimizing funnels, or building high-impact metrics, your work builds roadmaps, marketing, and operations across countries. You will lead projects, balance detail with big-picture thinking, and provide executive leaders with critical planning and reporting support helping steer Payments through a period of growth
Responsibilities
  • Define OKRs, evolve GPay India’s analytics strategy, and deliver insights at across new product bets in Consumer, Merchant, business generation, and Reliability.
  • Drive clarity on ambiguous, stakes problems by independently structuring analyses and transforming complex data into actionable insights that influence VP- and Director-level decisions.
  • Lead and grow a team developing talent, raising technical standards, guiding prioritization, and ensuring clear communication of insights to executive stakeholders.
  • Introduce more statistical methods and problem-solving techniques, and advocating best practices to enhance the technical depth and impact of the team.
  • Implement Gen AI–based approaches to automate insights, enable faster decision-making, and explore agentic analytics use cases across the Payments ecosystem.
