Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) in Singapore seeks an experienced data scientist to develop and refine analytics for AML/FCR and governance. You will work with business users and data engineers to deliver robust end-to-end models and insights.

Responsibilities include modeling, governance participation, and translating complex results for non-technical audiences. A strong background in SQL, Python, and ML tools is required, with BI experience.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in technology and data analytics
• 2–4 years of experience with advanced analytical models/tools (e.g., ML)
• Experience on large-scale analytics projects preferred
• Strong project management skills (≥4 years)
• Experience in AML/FCR/compliance analytics
• Ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences
• Data analytics experience in Anti Financial Crime is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Support model maintenance by collaborating with Business Analysts to gather feedback and rebalance models
• Retrain and recalibrate existing FCR analytical models to prevent drift
• Develop additional analytics in collaboration with end-users and stakeholders for new models
• Document model narratives: purpose, logic, data needs, outputs
• Lead end-to-end FCC model development including data wrangling, training, testing
• Build diverse models (rule-based, ML) on structured/unstructured data
• Support high-priority projects and regulatory analytics requests
• Keep abreast with latest data science developments and promote best practices
