Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. is seeking a Senior Data Management Professional to lead scalable data pipelines for Commodities in Singapore. You will partner with Product, Engineering and domain experts to drive data quality, governance, and AI-enabled innovation across our data platform.

You will design automated controls, observability, and remediation frameworks, modernize legacy systems, and mentor peers to uphold engineering excellence while delivering reliable client data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years designing and building scalable data solutions.
• Experience with Python and querying structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with data modeling, governance, and observability.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English, with evidence of career growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for Commodities datasets.
• Modernize legacy systems, reduce technical debt, and lead data migrations.
• Develop automated controls, monitoring, and data quality frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and domain experts to shape platform evolution.
• Apply automation, AI/ML, and analytics to enhance ingestion and validation.
• Establish engineering best practices and mentor team members.
