Job summary

DRW is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Data Experience team to integrate vendor datasets into the data platform and govern centralized pipelines. You will collaborate with Traders, Quant Researchers, and Back-Office staff to maximize data utility and platform tools.

Responsibility includes owning data ingestion processes, ensuring quality, and contributing to data governance and on-call rotations to support rapid data product development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with modern data technologies or building data-first products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, agile, and fast-paced trading environment.
• Proven ability to deliver rapid results across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data modeling techniques and data pipeline maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Model, build, and manage data products atop DRW’s Unified Data Platform.
• Collaborate with Data Strategists to onboard new data sources for trading and research.
• Contribute to data governance processes for discovery, cost-sharing, and quality control of datasets.
• Monitor data ingestion pipelines and data quality to ensure stability and reliability.
• Own vendor ingestion pipelines and coordinate with vendor relationship managers.
• Respond to user requests and identify self-service improvements for efficiency.
