Job Title: Senior Data Engineer – Data Integration & Analytics

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a passion for building scalable data integration solutions and a track record of delivering high-impact projects. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines for our expanding operations in new markets. You’ll work closely with business teams to translate complex requirements into robust, generic data solutions—ensuring seamless data flow, accuracy, and compliance with third‑party reporting standards.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving real‑world data challenges, and wants to shape the future of our data infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Data Integration Lifecycle: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support data exports, reporting, and analytics for new markets.
  • Collaborate with Business Units: Partner with stakeholders to gather, refine, and document data requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Optimize Data Workflows: Develop and automate data mappings, transformations, and validations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Ensure Data Quality: Implement monitoring, validation, and cleansing processes to maintain high data integrity across systems.
  • Drive Technical Innovation: Evaluate and leverage modern data tools (e.g., Talend, dbt solutions) to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Support Third-Party Reporting: Structure and deliver data outputs in standardized formats, meeting regulatory and partner requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, with a focus on ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and integration.
  • Proven expertise with tools like Talend, Informatica, or open‑source alternatives (e.g., Apache NiFi, Airflow).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling, mapping, and transformation in complex environments.
  • Experience with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) is a plus.
  • Problem‑solving mindset: Ability to troubleshoot data issues, optimise performance, and propose creative solutions.
  • Business acumen: Comfortable translating business needs into technical specifications and communicating with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Industry experience in insurance, finance, or regulated industries is highly valued.
Why Join Us?
  • Impact: Your work will directly enable our growth in new markets and improve decision‑making across the organization.
  • Tech Stack: Opportunity to work with cutting‑edge tools and shape our data architecture.
  • Growth: Clear pathways for career development, including leadership opportunities and skill expansion.
  • Culture: Collaborative, innovative, and data‑driven team environment.
